Culture as a driver for sustainable development

Culture as a driver for sustainable development

Throughout the past decades, statistics, indicators and data on the CCSs, as well as operational activities have underscored that culture can be a powerful driver for sustainable development. Of particular relevance is the CCSs’ contribution to the economy and poverty alleviation.

The Council Work Plan for Culture 2019-2022 recognises “Culture as a driver for sustainable development” as one of its priorities.
